Naugatuck Goes Green Part 1

When Naugatuck Mayor Pete Hess took office, he faced some daunting challenges – assembling a talented government team, making his community more business-friendly, and dealing with rising costs at the regional water pollution control facility.

The water treatment plant requires intense energy usage, and the costs were skyrocketing. Even worse, the plant was using dirty energy, which was harming the environment.

Mayor Hess brought in Advanced Energy Efficiencies (AEE) to design a solution to the financial and environmental challenges. AEE got right to work analyzing the energy usage, preparing financial outlines, and creating a new approach.

Now, the Naugatuck WPCA plant uses modern, clean fuel cells, which will save millions in energy costs while dramatically cutting the carbon footprint. Working with AEE, Mayor Pete reduced costs and cleaned the environment.

Advanced Energy Efficiencies (AEE) can help you reduce your energy costs and improve your sustainability record.

Mayor Pete showed how green energy is a wise business decision for you, your customers, the supply chain, and the community you serve.
